 Dr. John Kanywithia Mutunga is the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Federation of Agricultural Producers (KENFAP).
Professionally, Dr. Mutunga has a Ph.D in Environmental Science,
specialized in Socio Economic Empowerment of Smallholder Farmers through
exploitation of Bio geophysical resources. He is an Alumni of the
Kenyatta University and a part time lecturer in the department of
Environmental Science. He is also a board member of the International
planning Committee of CSOs/NGOs and the International More and Better
support to Agriculture Network. He is a member of the Inter-ministerial
Coordination Committee of the agricultural sector ministries in Kenya,
Chairman of the National Climate Change Consortium and an Executive
Director of Disaster Kenya Consult.
Dr. Mutunga has published several books in Governance, Leadership and
Management as well as Community Development. He has participated in
numerous international level consultations within the development and
poverty reduction policy arena. He is familiar with the private/public
partnership policies and has wide experience in position building
towards private sector engagement in development.
