Rights, needs and realities
In collaboration with The Geneva Hospitals, WHO, UNAIDS
25 May 2008 - 6 June 2008Location: Geneva, Switzerland Fieldtrips: Haiti; Kenya/Uganda
How can we ensure access to quality healthcare throughout the world? Does the problem lie more with the availability of financial resources or the way health services are managed, or both? How can public services, private sector and civil society collaborate more efficiently? How are global changes like migration, climate change and conflicts affecting healthcare?
The Media21 Access To Health workshop is being conducted over two weeks, including field trips (25 May – 6 June, 2008). It is planned to coincide with the second global Geneva Health Forum (25 May – 28 May), organized by the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). The forum is expected to attract 1200 leading medical practitioners, researchers, policy makers, private sector and specialised media. This will provide a unique opportunity for journalists, public health experts, international organisations and activists to interact with each other.
